Swingin' For The Fences was the first album by the supergroup Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band. Released in 2001, the album quickly became one of the most popular jazz albums of the last 20 years. The album features many acclaimed players and soloists. The tracks are:

Many of the songs composed for this album were based on compositions by a variety of jazz legends. Some examples include "Sing, Sang, Sung" being based on "Sing, Sing, Sing" as recorded by Benny Goodman as well as "Swingin' For The Fences", which is based on Sammy Nestico's arrangement of "Sweet Georgia Brown".
